Morning Prayer
However the day ahead looks, giving it to God before it begins changes the way you walk through it. This is a simple morning prayer of gratitude and surrender.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of this new morning and the breath in my lungs. Before the day begins, I give it to You. Guide my steps, order my thoughts, and let my words bring kindness wherever I go. When I am tired, be my strength; when I am uncertain, be my wisdom; when I am tempted to worry, remind me that You go before me. Help me to notice Your goodness in the small things and to walk in gratitude. May all I do today honor You. I place this day, and myself, into Your faithful hands. Amen.
