Prayer for Addiction
Breaking free from addiction is a hard and often lonely fight. This is a prayer for strength, freedom, and hope, for yourself or someone you love.
Lord, this addiction has a hold that feels stronger than my own will. I bring it honestly to You, and I ask You to set me free. Give me strength for today, just for today, and again tomorrow. Break the chains I cannot break myself. Surround me with people who help and not harm, and give me the courage to reach for them. Where I fall, lift me up without shame, and help me begin again. You make all things new. Make me new, and lead me into freedom. Amen.
