A birthday is a gift of another year. This is a prayer of thanks and blessing to celebrate a life and the year ahead.
Loving God, thank You for the gift of another year of life. This is a day You have made, and I rejoice and give thanks for it. Thank You for every blessing of the year behind, and for Your faithfulness through it all. As a new year of life begins, I ask for Your blessing over it. Guide my steps, deepen my faith, and fill my days with purpose and joy. Teach me to number my days and to use them well. Whatever this year holds, walk through it with me. Amen.
