Prayer for Comfort
When you simply need to feel held, this is a prayer to the God of all comfort, asking Him to draw near and ease your heart.
God of all comfort, I come to You in need of Your gentle presence. My heart is heavy, and I need to feel that I am not alone. Wrap me in Your comfort like a warm covering. Quiet my fears, ease my sorrow, and remind me that You are near to the hurting. You have promised to comfort us in all our troubles, so I ask You to comfort me now. Hold me through this, and in time, use what has comforted me to comfort others. I rest in Your tender care. Amen.
