Prayer for Depression
When a heavy darkness settles over your days, this is a prayer for the low seasons, asking God to be near and to be the lifter of your head.
Lord, my soul is heavy and the joy I once knew feels far away. I do not always have the words, but You know the weight I carry. Draw near to me in this low place. Lift the darkness a little at a time, and remind me that I am not forgotten and not alone. On the days I cannot feel You, help me to trust that You are still here. Give me strength for this hour, and hope for the next. Be the lifter of my head, and the health of my heart, until the light returns. Amen.
